Davd 'Dr Who' Tennant gives One his support
David Tennant
We're delighted to announce that David 'Dr Who' Tennant, who also starred as Casanova in the TV production and featured in the Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire film, is one of the new faces on our bottles. Other celebrities have followed David's lead and are getting involved after seeing the success of our projects in Africa.
"I think One water is a really great idea. You buy it, their profits go to building Roundabout powered water pumps in Africa. Simple. And that's the easy way it should be. Why would you buy anything else when you can save lives just by buying One?"
David Tennant

One Lucky Winner
After thousands of entries to our Trip to Africa competition, there could only be one winner. Anthea Robertson will be coming with us on the trip of a lifetime in the New Year to see a brand new PlayPump™ installed. Congratulations Anthea! For all those who missed out this time, with the latest Google Earth update on our website you can now see for yourself where the PlayPumps™ are being installed.

Morrisons first PlayPump installed
Morrisons first PlayPump installed
On our recent trip to South Africa, we had a little helper overseeing the installation of Morrison's first roundabout powered PlayPump™. He really brought a smile to our faces. As did the entire England football squad who we saw playing on the new roundabout! (Many thanks to Morrison's for kindly donating all the kit.)

Jamie Oliver, Ronan Keating and One
In addition to supporting our own projects we like to help out other charities too - which goes back to our first days of being the official water for Live8 and Make Poverty History. Over the last year we've helped loads of people including Tear Fund, Cancer Research, Astro Fund, Rainbow Trust and The Big Issue amongst others.. We were delighted when Jamie Oliver and Ronan Keating wanted to get in on the act and asked us to support their charitable projects too.

Jump to it
If you've seen Casino Royale, you'll certainly remember the opening sequence with the guys jumping on rooftops and cranes. These guys are from a group called Urban Freeflow and are specialists in 'Parkour' a dramatic new sport where super-fit people seemingly with no fear, leap, balance and jump around office blocks, carparks, etc. Well, we're sponsoring them and their jaw-dropping antics again this year - and we've just given away 5 VIP tickets to their PK11 training event.

Free DVD at Total garages
Free DVD at Total garages
"They don't carry this much do they?" said Total's Ian Mackie recently whilst trying to pick up a 25 kilo water container. We filmed Ian and colleagues earlier this year whilst on a trip to see the installation of Total's first roundabout in KwaZulu-Natal. To date, 40,000 of Total's customers have been given a free DVD showing their amazing experience. If you didn't pick up a copy, you can watch it online here.

Qode - You heard it here first
Qode is brand new, cutting-edge technology that allows mobile phone users to access a host of additional information, promotions and pictures simply by taking a picture of a special barcode-like image with their mobile's camera. To do this, you simply need to text qode to 82100 and follow the instructions to download the free software.

Apparently, 91% of Japanese people use this technology every day. In a real coup for One water, we will be the first company in the UK to offer this by using 'qodes' on the side of our new 750ml sports bottles.

Vending Machine
Out with the fizzy, sugary, teeth-decaying canned drinks and in with pure, healthy, life-saving One water. Schools throughout the country have been clammering to get their hands on our vending machines.

And it doesn't stop there. From originally supplying just Manchester University (who are flying to Africa in February to install their first roundabout), we have been gathering pace in other universities. So much so that the NUS (National Union of Students) have just decided to supply One to every university in the UK!

From our foreign correspondent
Trevor Field
From our own foreign correspondent, the ever-inspirational Trevor Field, all the way down there in Jo'burg

Hi guys,
Whilst you are all shivering up there in the UK, you'll be delighted to know that it's sweltering down here - great for us sun loving people, not so good if you're living in a rural community without fresh, clean drinking water.
To get a flavour of the realities down here, I hope you get a chance to see the Total film. I promise you, it's not all doom and gloom, but we really can improve lives by providing communities with clean water and importantly, enabling kids to go to school rather than waste their time collecting water. Please keep buying it - it's making a difference every day.
I know there are a few people coming down to spend some time with us in the New Year - I hope you'll be one of them. I guarantee you, it really is a life-changing experience.

All the best and thanks for your support.
